Future of Dogs of War Online - Now Secure!
Posted by: Willmark - 11-26-2012 10:38 PM - Replies (8)

This has been a long time coming but I'll make it short and sweet. My interest in Dogs of War and Warhammer in general is at an all time low. I'm currently working on RPGS and haven't picked up a brush in ages, let alone played Warhammer. I'm not too active at the moment at Chaos Dwarfs Online right now either.

So with this in mind I've decided that I'm not going to continue my involvement in the site come January (minimal as it has been).

Now the interesting part. I pay the bill for the server and its come to the point where someone else will need to pick up the bill, join the staff and take DoWO forward. The cost isn't much but I dont see myself being all that active anytime soon.

This is probably long overdue and bear in mind its not about $ either. The costs for the site aren't that much per year. What its about is that I'm not that motivated.

So if you are interested in taking over the site let me know and we can work on transferring the site. This will need to be done by January 18th. If interested send me a PM

  Inactive Posters and Bots
Posted by: Willmark - 04-01-2012 03:47 PM - Replies (6)

In a attempt to weed out bot registrants I've set the forum cleaner. Basically if you do not have any active posts the site will auto delete your account. So if you are a lurker of the site you might want to make sure you have at least one post.

Please PM me if you have any questions.

Some Changes in the air for Dogs of War Online
Posted by: Willmark - 10-04-2011 11:06 AM - Replies (7)

Hey guys,

Some of my time is beginning to free up (slightly) so I'm lookin to spend some more time at getting Dogs of War Online amped back up. So start spreading the word.

I've also paired back some of the inactive staff so if you are looking to join the group let me know via PM. Baumann, Someone2040 and I can really use the help.

Some areas that any member can pitch in on:
1) wiki- I've started it but we really need a person to head it up.
2) Photoshop, HTML guru. We are in need of a web designer. So if you can help PM me.
3) gallery it's open for business so start adding stuff. It's a great resource for those that aren't to familiar with the site or Dogs of War.

These are but a few areas to consider.

So what's in it for you? a more active site, medals and good crowns. Let's get things started and hopefully I'll even have more time too. Wink

Regiment of Renown Contest- Voting Thread
Posted by: Willmark - 06-10-2011 10:53 PM - Replies (17)

As detailed here: http://dogsofwaronline.com/forum/showthr...p?tid=1234 its time to vote in the first ever Rules Contest on Dogs of War Online.

As always (so it seems) sorry for the delay in getting this posted in and amongst the craziness of my life I got pretty darn sick over the last week and had a ton of work to do on my house.

Rather then give all kinds of rules for voting I'm going to keep it simple: vote for what you believe to be the best rules for the Dogs of War.

A couple of things that may help with your voting: playability, balance, fluff, fun factor, originality. Again there are no hard and fast rules for this first time contest. Rather its as mentioned up to you to decide who is most deserving.

I'm pleased we had 6 entries which is the most we have ever had for a contest so kudos to everyone who entered! All entrants will receive 6 Gold Crowns for their efforts and the a medal will be awarded for the winner.

Also please do not discuss whose entry is whose until after the contest is over.

Poll is a timed one and will close in 14 days.

Willmark
