Salvete!

So fellows, anyone here that employs the Truthsayer or Dark Emmisary fields any Fenbeast as well? How do you use them?

I happened to acquire the 2 models, but I'm reluctating in using them to replace my battlefield guns...

Any suggestions on tactica for these fellows?
Well, come 8th edition they may see more play, as they will most likely be able to be taken in addition to the cannon, as opposed to currently in place of the cannon.

Other than that, no, I have never used one, or seen on used.
Two years ago, almost mto the day, a guy at my local gw used a trio of them to overrun a dark elf 'gunline' worth almost four times their points- although the truthsayer did use that healing spell twice- he kept them loose and near the table edge, minimising how much could hit them.
You now have 562 points to spend on rare choices, only restrictons are no more than 2 of the same choice, so 1 cannon, troothsayer/dark emissary and 2 fenbeasts is quite possible (520 points) and under the cap if playing 2250, if playing 2000 points you could only get 1 fenbeast or you need to drop the cannon.

This is assuming of course the full amount of the trooth/darks point go into rare since he is also a hero...if its split 50/50 then 2 cannons and 3 fenbeasts all on! (since they count as one choice).

Just worked out, if the split is 50/50 points allocation for dual category units..this I think this setup is possible
Truthsayer/Dark Emmisary
2x Cannons
3x Fenbeasts
Merc General (mounted kit)
Wizard Lord (level 4, horsey)
Paymaster
Captain on Pegasus

Thats about 1200 points, so then just need to do magic items then bulk out the army with as many bodies as possible or go the all cav route (bad if you get an objective based scenario!!)
