Please report any single-player-versus-single-player games you play with your Dogs of War in the following format:

1. What army did you play against?
2. Who won?
3. How many points was the game?
4. What was the most memorable moment? (optional)

Thanks everyone for your input…. and keep on playing!
1. Vampire Counts
2. Vamps
3. 1500
4. PM getting flanked stupidly from skeletons, running through Ironguts as they flee. Fun.
1. Orks and Goblins
2. Dogs of War
3. 1500
4. Duelist stand and shoot against 3 charging Trolls, and killing them all point blank, enemy failed all Regenerations Wink
1. What army did you play against? Skaven
2. Who won? Dogs of War--Cardo's Tigers
3. How many points was the game? 2,600
4. What was the most memorable moment? (optional) Golgfag's Ogres caused Thanquol's Stormvermin to panic.
1. What army did you play against? Goblins only
2. Who won? Dogs of War7
3. How many points was the game? 2250
4. What was the most memorable moment? the speed of the game (over in 1.5 hours) totally decimated the goblins -- not much of a challenge
1. High Elves
2. High Elves
3. 1000
4. Both (fresh) units of Norse Marauders lose entire front rank to ASF in first round of respective combats, break, flee and are overrun. 2/3 of my rank-and-file wiped out in one round without lifting a finger. I learn to hate 1 - ASF, and 2 - rules on who can strike back after casualties.

1. High Elves
2. High Elves
3. 1250
4. Dragonmage killed in turn 1. I pray for Stupidity. Instead the dragon gains Frenzy and Hatred, single-handedly destroys half of my army. Including my Dark Emissary. I learned that, when fighting dragons, a Lvl 4 is no match for a good cannon in your ranks.
Updated today fellows! Smile

Thank you, Gwyddyon, for the great advice! I prefer powder and lead to magic, anyway. But, it's good to hear your battle-tested experiences!
Demons 2250pts - The best moment was a single Maneater who charged a unit of 5 Flamers and eventually beat them all in combat. Minor victory for the Dogs!

Ogres 2250pts - Asarnil single-handedly killing about 1000 pts of Ogres. My opponent gave up on turn three. Complete massacre for the Dogs!
Good job Slick, your record is amazing. Glad to have you on our side!
Victory against DoC?? Smile

Who says Dogs of War are oldfashioned and not competitive?
1. What army did you play against? Dark Elves
2. Who won? minor to Dark Elves DICE
3. How many points was the game? 2250
4. What was the most memorable moment?
The guy I play has a set of dice that always roll high (and he admits it) so I loose to his dice not to his playing ability.

This was the magic heavy list of Dark elves L4 and 3 L2 wizards. With power stones. 4 bolt throwers, 4 units of fast cav, 2 units of witch elves. very tough list to play against.
Updated!

Those Dark Elves scare me. I'm still debating my second army right now. After another couple hundred on the Dogs of War I want to branch. Dark Elves are in the mix. So many good units....
1.High Elves
2.1500
3. Dogs!
4. Leadbelchers impact charge vs Swordmasters, breaking unit

1. Vampire
2. 2000
3. Vamps
4. I can't believe how good they are. Fell Bats a special choice, say what?!
1. Bretonnia
2. Damned Honorable Bootlicking Bretonnians!
3. 1000
4. Turn 1, Crossbows make a Peasant's Archers unit flee off the table.
Updated. Keep on reporting guys!

My friend is thinking Brets for his second army. At this point, watching some battle reports, I fear the Pegasus Knights a lot.
1. Chaos Daemons
2. Cursed fiends of the Void (Daemons, that is)!
3. 1000p
4. When my captain declared a charge against a unit of flamers from within a heavy cavarly unit, and had a chance to turn the tide of battle, but failed his fear test.
1. Lizardmen
2. Dogs of War
3. 2500
4. Probably the turning point of the game was Asarnil flying near Skrox and Saurus with BSB. The Saurus got flamed, and then failed their terror check. This gave Beorg and the Bearmen enough time to beat the Stegadon in combat, and then charge into the Saurus with Asarnil. Deathfang flopped in the first round, but in the 2nd round smashed the Saurus, causing them to need double 1's.

1. Dwarfs
2. Dogs of War
3. 2500
4. The combat between the Hammerers, Bearmen, Asarnil and Longbeards. In the end, earlier shooting took their toll on the Hammerer's, combined with a rear charge from Asarnil. The longbeards then charged Asarnil's flank. Beorg challenged the lord (after whooping the champion in the previous round) to keep him from killing the Paymaster, while the Paymaster and Oerl finished off the last of the hammerer's so they lost immune to psych and I ran everything down.

1. Dark Elves
2. Dark Elves
3. 2500
4. After killing the Black Guard to the man (The Bearmen getting off luck as the Spearmen didn't clip them after beating Dwarves with the Manticore lord), the Bearmen were faced knowing they would have to fight off both Spearmen and Manticore. Reforming to face the spearmen, the manticore flew behind them. Beorg and fellows charged the Spearmen, won by 1, but the Elves passed on their general's leadership. Unfortunately, this was enough as the Manticore charged in, whooped Beorgs ass (Didn't pass a single ward save unfortunately), and didn't manage my double 1's and got ran down.

Why would you send a single captain against flamers?Huh

Desperate combats require desperate measures!
Updated! Been busy putting together my new order of Voland's Venerators and Goblin Hewer!
This is really a great collection of information, Sadirath, and I can't wait until I can start contributing to it. Good job!
Another one!

1. Vampire Counts
2. Glorious Shining Gold-Clad Dogs Of War!!!
3. 2000
4. Bronzino and Ricco earned their pay yesterday! A well place flank shot snipes a Hero-lvl Vampire, killing him outright, goes through a Grave Guard unit and land in a Lord-lvl Vampire! Who charges Ricco's Guards head on... and dies! Surprisingly, he hasn't bought a Ward Save...
First 8th edition game for me. Put together a fun list.
1. Skaven
2. little rat buggers
3. 2250
4. Their hordes were less scary than their Plague magic. I actually out-horde'd them with a 44 sized Marauder unit, with GW's! If they can survive for their strike, they are crazy killers. It was magic and ball cannon misses that cost me the game. Oh, and Oglah running off the board after I had got them set for a rear charge. Stupid Skaven assassin killing me Paymaster.
Plus one, still on 7th.

1. High Elves
2. Blasted Shining Arrogant High Elves
3. 2000
4. Dragon Princes charge - and go through a duellist unit - but stays 3 inches far from my Maneaters!!! Double charged it with both Maneaters and Bodyguards - they're dead Jim. But cause just enough casualties so I couldn't keep up with the rest of his army. Damned Irrestible Force on equals...
1. Demons of Chaos
2. Demons of Choas (barely...)
3. 1515 (odd number, I know)
4. Where to even start? Me rolling 11 power dice and failing my first spell? Him rolling 10 and doing the same? Me rolling 12 (!) and failing the first spell again next turn? My Norse rolling 1+1 and 1+2 to charge on two consecutive turns? My Ogres never getting into combat? My Paymaster and two units of Fast Cavalry flat up stomping a unit of blood crushers? Neither my cannon nor my hotpot ever even hitting, let alone causing a wound? His flamers dumping 18 shots into a unit of duelists and killing one guy? It was a wildly insane game on all sides, but I fully believe I can stand up to Demons in 8th.
