again, i gained inspiration from all those arabic merc and i want to add something that misses in the araby book

cataphracts:

4 4 4 4 3 1 3 1 8

ride extreemly armored horses, making there armor save +2, horse loose 2 movement, carry lance, shield, heavy armor, hw

special rules:
religion hatred

may extchange there lances for longbows

i dont know about the points cost, any ideas?
Where in the old World would you settle them fluffwise? cause where the Byzanthian Empire would be, their live many greenskins!
And why so tough?? these are ruleswise chaosknights!

point costs: Not under 39 pts each!
As said, Cataphracts are part of the Byzantine/Parthian empire, not Araby/turks/saracens/moors.

I would also really tone them down, they don't need chaos knights stats, they are just humans, and they definitely don't need both hatred and stubborn. I would look at the rules for Empire Knights if anything, you pretty much got all you need in Cataphracts there.

That's no reason to make one unit really cheesy. Humans have generally cheap troops, so you can field plenty of them. Making one unit better than chaos knights because is the rest isn't as good is no good solution.

Lower their Ld to 8 and they are all set. Not sure they need Init. 4 though, most knights are still 3. Are the barding supposed to give them +2 AS instead of just +1? In that case, you should write that, atm it's like they get a 2+ save total. Remember: +2 is not the same as 2+.

araby horses have movement 9, so they have m 7 now
You might wanna put that in then, not everyone has that list. And is this meant for dogs of war or Araby, because Araby already have their heavy cavalry in the Mamlukes, Cataphracts just have better armour save.
You could replace religious hatred with something like killing blow and call them a bunch of kislevite mercenaries, as the araby list is pretty set for cavalry.
Although Kislev don't have Cataphracts either...

Maybe not Kislev then, but somewhere!
Cathay would have Cataphracts, although less armoured then the Sassanid/Persian version that is the more known.
