Here's a preview of what's to come. Still Work in Progress on many of them (shields are still in painting). But figured I'd snap a picture since I had them all lined up in my movement tray.

Looking really good! I meant to sculpt chainmail on my marauders too, but it seemed like too much work.

Ahh, chainmail was easy, cause I use a technique I found somewhere.
You get the razorsaw, and use that to make the indentations. It's not neat, or anywhere near as good looking as if someone pain stakingly did it properly, but it gives a good enough effect and it's fast.

2000 points, huzzah!
So with the addition of my Bearmen to my force, as well as a Man-Eater, I have breached the 2000 point mark. Bearmen still need a smide of work (As well as some grass), but... that'll come down the track. Got other stuff to do before I go back to Norsemen. Gotta say that I do love the fact that Dogs of War have multiple races, because I was all norsed out a few weeks ago, and it was such a pain to get around to painting beards and stuff to get them done.
The Man-Eater started off somewhat of a pain, but in the end it got there and looks very nice. Pretty happy with the way he turned out.
I am frustrated that I forgot to take my camera to the 1750 tournament I went to. I had all my models there, so could've easily taken a nice army shot on a decent looking table. Oh well, next time!

What's next for this Mercenary? Well a small break for starters. Painting one army for the past 8 or so months has been tiring. I'm probably going to be painting a different shade of red (Blood Angels red!) this month. However, due to the simplicity of Dwarves, I hope to paint them up in April as well.

Thanks for the comments guys.
It's been a while, and a last minute rush see's my army grow to 2500 points. Some of the new stuff isn't quite done, but is painted enough so you probably can't tell at a distance (i.e Dwarfs need another layer of highlights on the red for about half of them).
Since I was at a tournament last weekend, I rememberd my camera this time, although didn't remember to take a picture until the last game! So my army is setup, but a bit scattered (Light Cavalry aren't in the picture due to being on the far flank). I managed to obtain 4th I believe out of about 10 players. Got best sports award and won myself a Stegadon

Pictures seem a bit blurry(But hard to tell at the time) but hope you enjoy. My Dogs of War other than random models I feel like painting will likely be getting a break for a while(Although, depends what I decide to take to a 3000 point tournament in October).

Thanks for the kind comments guys. Just today I got out the entire army again just to take photo's of. Unfortunately for now, I think the Dogs of War are going to stay in their case while I do my Beastmen army. Had fun playing them, but since there's no official FAQ I would probably have to refashion my army due to Asarnil. That and it's time for something fresh, focussing on one army for a full year is tough!
So this is my 2500 point army. I'll probably add stuff to it over time as I randomly decide to paint models (I've got tonnes still left to paint. More characters, Manflayers, Bugmans Rangers, Armoured Orcs, Cursed Company, All the Pikemen sets, Golfgfags, plenty left!), but that'll come along as I do it.

Well, now that the contest is over with, I can officially put ManEater number 2 in my blog.

What next for the Mercenaries? Not sure. Most likely whatever contest we hold here at Dogs of War Online. I might get around to revisiting my Dogs of War after I finish off my Beastmen, but that's at least a good few months away still... so who knows what can happen in that time (Redoing my Lizardmen army is a prime contender as well).

Dude! I like 'em! It looks like you dry brushed the gold am I right?
Anywho well done

Nah, any gold on these miniatures I believe was built up by
Tin Bitz -> Brazen Brass -> Shining Gold
That's what I remember from painting the Venators anyway.
Was meant to be more brass, but I think the shining gold overpowered it too much.
The Ogre paychest may have gotten some shining mixed with mithril final highlight on it, as that's actually meant to be gold and I painted him much later than my other stuff.
I don't generally drybrush. I think the only time I used that in my Dogs of War army was on the fur on the Bearmen.
