What music do you guys listen to? Any specific music while painting?

For me it's basically anything except Country and Pop.

Lots of Punk, Metal, some Rap, Rock, Classic etc.
I will listen to nearly anything.

It would be shorter to what I won't listen to.

Aqua - I HATE BARBIE GIRL
Neil Diamond - Heart Light, give me a break
Barbra Streisand - Her voice annoys me, but the wife listens to her
Ready for the World - Oh Sheila, she probably hates you too.
Yeay, this thread restarted again! Since I'm Swedish, I of course listen to metal, metal and some more metal. Mainly melodic death metal, nu-metal, and metalcore. Some of my favourite bands (I listen to about 120, so I'll just mention my favourites).

All that Remains
As I Lay Dying
Blinded Colony
Blood Stain Child

Dark Tranquillity
Deadlock
Deftones
Disarmonia Mundi
Eluveite
Heaven Shall Burn
Ill Nino
In Flames
Kalmah
Killswitch Engage
KoRn
Light This City
Limp Bizkit
Linkin Park
Maroon

Ok, that's my favourites Smile Hmm, I might have just a little to much music Undecided
Dude, there is music other than Metal. Big Grin
I do listen some music other than metal, as long as it is alternative. But for about 99% of the time, it's metal coming out the speakers.
Jazz... smooth, relaxing Jazz. It's also a great help whenever stuck in California's annoying traffic jams, regularly caused by some friggin' MORON that DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE!! #$%^@&*!!! AngryAngryAngry Aarrrrrrghhh!!!

(on a totally unrelated note, anyone know of a good Anger Management Counselor?)
I like all music

Sounds like you need to leave California and start meditation.
I can't afford to liten to music, it would stop me from hearing Kera trying to steal my Rum.
lol i sing like a siren and that puts baumann to sleep

then its free rum
Baumann, from what I heard was you gave her he rum freely because you really liked her singing and dancing.
i can't say...i have a reputation to maintain
So you are listening to Aqua, Abba, Frankie Goe to Hollywood, Madonna and Lady GaGa.
Hilltop Hoods
Powderfinger
The Cat Empire
Thirsty Merc

are probably my top 4 favourites. I'm Aussie. Can you tell?
G R U N G E !
NOW THAT some cool music
It was in the 90s Wink

Spent many a happy night in tiny nightclubs jumping around to it though back then Smile

At the moment though, thanks to the awesome live set they performed to headline this years Glastonbury Festival, I am mostly listening to my back catalogue of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
I've been listening opera lately...

Special places to Rigoleto - La donna è mobile - with Pavarotti singing! John Rawsley at - Largo al factotum - The Barber of Seville, and Carmen.

Fortunantíssimo per veritá, presto!!!
La la la la la la la la la LÁ!!!
Came across this amazing band yesterday: Equilibrium! Check out their latest album Sagas, if you don't like this, you have no taste in music (or a very weird one) imo! One word to describe this: EPIC!!!

Their best songs imo, although the entire album is absolutely amazing:

Yes, Bilbo, they sing in German, not all metal has to be in English Tongue

Oh, and if you like this band, be sure to check out Eluveite too!
More metal music for me
The more the better in my opinion
I do enjoy a bit of RnB though, but only the non-gangster stuff

But I love melodic metal, speed and heavy metal.

I'd personally love to stick a boot into indie bands and people like fall out boy and my chemical romance, the kind of bands that start a stupid fashion craze as they rise to fame on a tide of bad music and irritatingly bad lyrics.
Completely agree with you. The furthest I can go in the terms of emo music is Underoath, and at least they play metalcore. But bands like My Chemical Romance, no thank you!

Melodic Death Metal, especially when mixed with Folk Metal is the best!
wow m4cr you lessen to music in alphabetical order!!!!
try this !!! expand you mind

and this one for bauman

Good choice, but I would have went with his original I shot the Sheriff.
Because Equilibrium comes so soon after Eluveite? That's just a coincidence. I did find this band through Eluveite though.

Unfortunately that clip is unavailable in Sweden (trademark rights). What song is it?
lol it bob marley get up stand up!!
we need to fight the oppressors !!!!!free Sweden
I don't really think that's the problem, I can watch several other clips with that song without any problem. Might be a clip that's only available in the US, like those TV shows that are only available in the UK.

Not much of a fan of Bob Marley though, a bit too slow music to headbang too Tongue

I do like some music besides metal, Coldplay are great for instance. I do like some dance music too. Even better of course is bands like Blood Stain Child that mixes techno and trance with melodic death metal Smile
