My name's Darren, and I'm curious to see what's going on in this forum. I saw it a few years back, and with the news of the army book in playtesting I'm excited to see what will become of it. Fan-made army books are a wonderful thing and the bar is being raised all the time. Look forward to a lively and productive dialogue!

Not sure what site you saw, but we've only been around since the beginning of this year. But we're trying to forge on where the other Dogs of War sites have stalled and faltered.
The playtest version of the army book is available for download (if you haven't already) elsewhere on the site.

Ah, perhaps it was one that had stalled. Well, this one seems lively and kicking, so good on you for continuing where others had fizzled out! Dogs of War was a brilliant idea back-in-the-day, and it's sad GW didn't stick with it.
Maybe if we're lucky and work hard enough we can change GW's mind on the good old Dogs of War.
One of the problems the older sites had were that they were confusingly named and didn't have proper domain names (mostly being free hosted forums on things like invisionfree etc) so you pretty much had to be extensively searching or invited before you found them.
Our first aim with this site was that it should
promote the Dogs of War as an army, rather than just be a place for a small group of existing players to talk about their armies. We're still a place for players to hang out and talk but we are also here to help new players get started with what is quite frankly the best army in the game
