Created these years ago and used to be hosted on darkshadowgames.com which is now no more so I figured I'd put them here.

AFAICR these were never play tested. These were more for just the fun of making them. I had a Araby one under construction that never got off the ground really.

Nippon, Norse and Estalia
M4c has been working on an Araby List.
I know of a Pirate List.
I have on my computer a Halfling List and a few others.
I was working a remake of the old 4th Ed Norse Army
the estalian list is not finished. and momentarily looks like just another empire list.

The Estalian Nobility 4 (Yep needs to be something like this.)
Battle Wizards 6 (necessary in any army list... the term mage is very elfish though... wizard sounds fine to me...)
Inquisitors 6 (warrior priest of myrmidia.. tends to be empirish... only lord level???)
Militia 9 (empire!!)
Swordsmen 9 (spanish armies are famous for there sword and buckler men. when Ferdinand and Isabella finished the reconquesta of spain, the armies of spain (castille and Leon and Aragon) where composed out of Sword and buckler men (about 33%) , Pikemen (about 33%) and crossbowmen and handgunners (33%) )
Pikemen 12 (see swordsmen)
Crossbowmen 14 (see swordsmen)
Handgunners XX (see swordsmen)
Banditos 12 (No noble Spaniard wants to deal with these fellas...)
Caballeros 13 (like spanish cavalry, fast agile, with lance. bardingless knights??? ) (Oh noes... my little ponies...)
Handgunners XX (twice Wink )
War Altar XX (Empire.....)
Cannon XX
Witch Hunters XX
Witch Hunter Cavalry XX
Freelancers (I think freelancers could be something like normal knights with barding and cabaleros knight without barding but with fast cavalry rules... jups could work..)

additions/advices
conquestadors? hardened veterans of countless battles, and therefor stubborn? instead of banditos
One sort of witchhunter unit is more then enough.
Mounted crossbowmen? move or fire?

nice list Smile my heart jumped a moment when I saw the estalian armylist Wink
I have an Estalian list planned somewhere in the future. Of course, it would contain Algumavars (or whatever they are called) and Jinetes, as well the obligatory Conquistadors. And maybe give the Sword and bucklermen some special rule that makes them harder to hit in close combat, since they "haz teh skillz".

Lists look allright, but needs something to really make it stand out from the empire list. Also, the units seem to be WAY overcosted (but I'll nit-pick about that in my own list Tongue)
Well all three were written early in 6th edition days, 2002 perhaps?

And again they were never play tested, merely written for the fun of it.

As far as the Estalian list I will look over my files, as it was complete at one point.
Personally I think there are too many people out there who think "Well this is the equivalent of X area in the real world so any army has to include every possible real world unit there was".

HELLO!!! this is Warhammer- the Old World.
Who says those units exist there???

To those people i say: Just step back, and ask yourself how to make a fun characterful themed list inspired by whatever nation it is.

Oh and as for Willmarks lists: did no-one read the title of the thread? they are Variant lists!
Yep play testing for them would be interesting, not enough has changed from 6th to 7th that they couldn't work in a game of Warhammer.

Nice work, Willmark!
Which list are you referring too, Araby, Pirates or the Halfings?
Pirates n Halfings
Here's the pirate list: http://dogsofwaronline.com/forum/showthr...ht=sartosa

You will have to ask Bilbo for the Halflings.
Thanks... Wink
