There are also some good ideas for plastic conversions on here.

First I would suggest using capital letters in the beginning of the sentence, as well as punctuation. A lot easier to read your posts then. If you want ideas for a theme, maybe a Kislev army would be fitting in "Winter War".

hi thought this was a dogs of war site, not a place for people to critizice my poor grammer Blush

dont really want to go down the kislev route on this army, saying that i dont really know what kind of theme to go with, had a bit of a look at the conversions that some of you guys and galls have done and it has really motivated me already Smile so hopefully this post will not get me banned so that i can get some more ideas for my army over the coming months
A Swede talking to a Scot about English.

You could make them a mountain living army, hanging near the higher elevation dwarf holds.

But proper capitalization and punctuation does help convey your message clearer. Of course I use spell checkers and re-read my posts twice before I hit the post reply button. Big Grin
Welcome Alex.

Youre English is probably better then mine so no worries. Just take the time to post, this is a forum and no MSN, we are not in a hurry. A winter theme is simple, take the army you want to play and don't forget to put snow on the bases Wink Here and there woollen gloves, scarfs and of course dress youre general and female wizard up as mr and ms Santa Claus!

Welcome !
I've used Dogs of War in my Empire army, which is a Marienburg themed mercenary army. I recently picked up some more Dogs of War figures at a convention. Dogs of War also seems to be hitting a bit of a resurgence on some of the forums I read. And finally, I was led here after the link to Gold & Glory #2 was posted over at warhammer-empire.com

So here I am. Considering trying out a full blown Dogs of War army.
Welcome ZeroTwentythree to the Home of the Mercenary.

We do discuss the entire Dogs of War army and Regiments of Renown on what works and what doesn't as well as using units in other armies.

PS: We don't refer to them as Dogs of War here because we want to get our Google ranking higher.

You should type it out as well then. Bad hobbit.
Welcome 023 to the Dogs of War site where we can discuss all things Dogs of War such as those mercenaries that call themselves Dogs of War... (Smile)

Your excellent Marienburg army could probably be used as a Dogs of War army anyway.
People should also read 023s blog.

Its excellent.
Hello everyone. I'm new to the dogs of war scene and don't have an army started yet but I've had some ideas floating around my head. I play Chaos Dwarfs mainly but I was thinking of starting a Dogs of War army from Araby.

I love the Haradrim models from LOTR, and was thinking of using them for my army, but I'm not sure if they would work and I was looking for some feedback...

again, hello, I look forward to many years of prosperous posting.
Welcome to the forum!

The Harad models are very nice, but a little to small for warhammer really. However, if you avoid mixing them with other warhammer troops, it probably won't show as much. There are of course a lot of other different miniatures companies out there if you want an Arab themed Dogs of War army.
Hello, and welcome to all of you.
Everyone is welcome here and as long as you don't upset the benevolent dictatorial triumvirate you will get to keep all your limbs to boot Big Grin

Just kidding, it's very laid back here.
welcome to the site Teiren
Don't forget the pirates too !! that would make a cool army
In addition to my individual thread... I am here...

Hopefully to become paymaster of repute myself someday (relatively) soon.

A WFB vet of some 20 years, ex GW staffer (across 4 departments) and old enough to know better Wink
Welcome.

Did you just join Chaos Dwarf Online recently?
*looks shiftily around*

Might've done....

Alright, it's a fair cop guv... I thought it was about time I branched out from good old Warseer and get involved in a couple of places that concentrate on the more... shall we say... less main stream parts of WFB.

Having been around for too long, I have atachements to the Dogs of War and to CD, and would love to create a decent army of each... in fact, I have a cunning (and expensive) plan to do just that................
Hi, I'm back.

Hi guys, I thought I could just quickly introduce myself here instead of creating an own thread. I joined here because Crube referred me to this forum that I didn't know (I used to post on the Merchant Prince, but that's been a while, and I was more of a lurker there, too. Maybe somebody knows me from Warseer, maybe not ;-).

As to me:

I am from Germany, pretty close to turning 30; I've been a wargamer for roughly 20 years since I had started with classic Battletech and switched later to the Warhammer games in 1997 (40K) and 2003 (WFB). The main reason for me to switch to WFB was the new TK army because I never liked any of the others before mostly due to the models, but at that point I did not know about the Dogs of War yet...that came in 2004 when I stumbled over a box of Alcatani pikemen, and I was instantly infected with the Dogs of War virus. My army is now worth somewhere between 8.000 and 10.000 points, mostly classic models (ROR and ages old Empire plastics), and mostly painted - I still don't dare painting my Asarnil because I don't want to ruin him and he's become pretty rare Wink.

Soo, that's it from me.
Welcome back Surge.

Welcome Bloodknight. Good to see someone with a love of an army so much they build to over 8000 points.
I know you from Warseer BloodKnight Angel
Wow thats a pretty big force considering how expensive dogs of war models are. Welcome to the Forum Bloodknight
Hi everybody!
I'm playing Warhammer for about a year now.. and my army was the Empire
Till this morning that is...
My untamed spirit thirsts for adventures beyond the borders of the Imperials, so I've decided to abandon my former decent life as a heroic Imperial captain in order to follow the lawless life of a 'filthy dog', just like you!!Tongue
As mercenaries, I hope you are used in correcting spelling and grammar mistakes, through your numerous encounters with other races from across the Old World. Huh If you DO, then you're lucky! I'll fill yer forum with'em!

It's always a pleasure talking with old dogs like you! I'll see ye soon!

Aye, t'Pirate Life be a fine fine life!Big GrinTongue
