Hello all. I figured with a new edition out, it was time for a new army and I've always wanted to do up a Dogs of War army. Time to ready myself for gold and glory! Tongue

Cheers
I'm in the same group as Grunts, and thought I'd continue my Dogs of War collection into an army.
Hi! I don't currently run a dogs of war army, although that's always been an ambition of mine... unfortunately recently I've entered college and any and all monies are going into tuition and books! I mainly entered thanks to M4cR1II3n's army books and wanting to take a closer part in what goes on around here.
Greetings everyone from Poland!
I`m glad that now I can discuss with mercenary generals from the whole world. I have decided to reactivate my Dogs of War, so here I am. :-)
Welcom AdP, we are always glad to have another Mercenary General around here. We hope to see some images of your army soon.

Stop by the pub and have an ale at the tavern on Baumann's tab.
Welcome!
Hello from Holland,

I signed up here to see what my favorite army is doing in the horrible 8th edition. (if you can call having your pikemen fighting in 6 ranks in a horde horrible)

I currently have about 25.000 pnt of Dogs.
Most of the RoR are in my collection and the rest are kit bashes or conversions.

Well that's about it really.
How many points?

I'm sorry, how many?!!!

Dang but those are a lot of mercenaries! Y'know, if 3000 points of them are painted you can get a nifty medal...

You should use the 8th edition rules made on this very site, they're much better than the old 6e.
Ah, there's the problem.
I might have 25.000 pnts worth of models (I have over 200 pikemen alone)
But I have a grand total of 8 leopard company models painted, I know its a crying shame.
Paiting just isn't my thing, I keep tossing the models against the wall when painting Big Grin

I have been collecting them since White dwarf was in the 250 numbers, so you might say I have been adding to the army for to long.
Still, take a picture so that we can see your entire army spread out in all its mercenary glory.
I'll give it a try next week, I'm away till monday.
I have a medieval event where I'm going to fire a five-barreled cannon at some knights Big Grin

Now I just have to find a wide angel lens for my camera and figure out how to post pictures here Huh
Upload the photo to photobucket or tinypic or some such. It should give you a line to enter in that will display the image.
Yeah, I was finally bored enough to take a picture off my entire Dogs of War army.
It only took me 2 hours to set up Undecided

First off, The PIKES:

Standing on a chair with my hands above my head I coudn't get it all.
(the table is 4x6ft)
I left out all the skirmishers and characters because it doesn't really add anything to the point, and I didn't really want to...

There you go....
Now to spend another 2 hours putting it away again...
Big Grin
That's an impressive force you have there . Lots of variety which I love !
My name is Artinam,

I plan to make a Dogs of War army out of the new Perry Plastic war of the Roses Miniatures.

The Billmen will become my paymasters Body guard.
Still looking at an quasi effective list with Pikes and the like.
Hiya guys already made an intro thread of my own before I saw this one so sorry about the multi -intro.

Anyway my plan is pretty similar to Artinam except to use the mercenaries from perry miniatures instead and the foot knights/ men at arms with polearms as paymasters body guards. I'm the same with the pike list too, I recon using them as counts as RoR pike units might work.

absolutely sweet army francois, paint it up like the ones you started and it'll be a true thing of beauty.
Hi, dogsPaymaster here!
I,have been a dogsofwar player for 4 editions now and still going strong. I consider it one of the biggest mistakes made, by those who decide on such matters, to drop the dogs.
I live in the Netherlands, the southern part and to be more specific I live in Maastricht. Got introduced to warhammer while I studied in the U.S.A. been playing erver since. Also do some roleplaying games. Was one of the lurkers for a while, checking out the posts but also the lists made, which I naturally downloaded! I like the conversions for dogs and dogs RoR best and compliments go to all who contributed but especially to M4cR1II3n. It is also why I signed up now, wanted to contribute some myself.
Go Dogs
New to DoWOnline. Not new to Dogs of War. Used to post alot at the Inquisition under another name. Got REALLY frustrated with WHFB 8th edition and have hardly played at all. And since I own 6 WHFB armies...thats sayin somethin. Dogs of War is the largest at over 7K points. All of which I plan to replace with nonGW minis and get back to playin with the GT list.
Welcome new guys.

Site admin who has been a bit absent. Building a new house and all.
