Richthofen's first aircraft to be painted in his distinctive red colour scheme was an Albatros D.III which was a biplane, and in fact he didn't fly the Fokker Dr.I all that much in comparison to other types (it had major problems with wing strength initially) with 20 out of his 80 credited victories on the type.
Wow this project just grows and grows. I have to say I'm always impressed by large 40k armies simply becuse of the commitment it takes to paint so many models in identical colour schemes - we WFBers have it easy! I'd love to do an ork army one day and your force might inspire me to do just that

I like it. Youre "dirty" paint style fits Orcs just fine.
Fantastic work!!!! Inspirational even. The goggles are very cool and simple, and the GI hats and helmets work surprisingly well on those old orks. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
