okay, imperfect pictures, sorry about the quality, and poorly thought out fluff but here it goes. The basic idea is that the troops here are from a border prince much closer to Tilea than the Empire therfore depends on the city states much more. This border prince has adopted a Tilean style unifrom color but not yet the pike, (which has more to do with the fact that i had already started paiting the unit when i stumbled across this site). Being a border prince it will rely heavily on mercenaries, which ive yet to either paint assemble or purchase.Big Grin
(I still need to finish the other half of the unit and add some grass and foliage patches to all the bases)

Nice colours, but the pics are cruel. Please take another pic with a better cam!
Indeed, very nice minis but better pics would help.
cool army love the army
According to Empire fluff the southern states of the Empire use pikes like Tilea so more than likely the Border Princes would use Pikes.

But it is your army and you write the story of why they use certain weapons.

I would love to have pikes but first off the sheilds have been glued to those arms with a tremedous amount of superglue for about 6 years now so they've melded together, secondly i started painting them before i considerd making pikes, and the fluff is really only a explanation i made up because they didnt have pikes.Smile
Personally I would say the shield is the Heavy Armour upgrade. Big Grin
