The Above one is a mix from: Chaos Knight Legs, Marauder Horseman Body and arms, Space Wolf Head and fur cloak from Max Mini.

The Wyrdbinder from below: Body is Erik Longaxe from Maelstrom Games (Banelegions range) and legs is Chaos Knights.
Cool looking minis there. Really likev the king. What mini is the body from?
Thanks Beefcake.

The Norse King is from the enigma range - many great models.

Fantastic thank you so much they look incredible!
This army looks great and I want top do the same make a Norsca army! I really want that Eric Longaxe Model however I am not sure how he will rank up with Games Workshop Marauders? Could you possibly give me any insight on how he looks with a unit of them? Any Help would be fantastic thank you!

Viking Chieftain
That looks absolutely amazing. Which model do you use for the Elephant?
Thanks Singleton Smile

That Mammoth (Elephant) is from the Dwarf Wars fantasy range from West Wind Produtions - also great models (best fantasy Norse models around, imo)

I've always looked at westwind for their demons etc. Those Nordvolk are some awesome miniatures. I've just been convinced of my next army (which can also buffer my chaos guys with marauders). So thanks for that idea about fantasy Norse models.
@ Beefcake
Creating a Norse sub-army to a Warriors of Chaos army is always a good idea. Glad to hear you are starting Norse Smile

Update:

Put my Wyrdriders on the new Thunderwolf models. I like these even better now - they look more dynamic.

Also started on my Huscarl unit.

Did the thunderwolf cavalry require any converting to remove any sci-fi stuff or were there versions that could be made without bionic components?
They look really cool. Very dynamic and suit the troops on top of them.
There are some small Sci-fi stuff on some of the wolf heads, but there are there are two heads without any sci-fi stuff on. Their bodies are pure fantasy though. Simply said; they are great for fantasy Smile

So those middle troopers look fantastic the ones with the fur and heavy armor, but the guy on the outside right looks a little out of place are they all Nordvolk models? Regardless they still look fantastic and are certainly inspiring me to start on my Norse army!
You are correct, the guy on the far right look a little out of place - he will be put/hidden into the back ranks Smile

They are all Nordvolk models, except the wolf and the king - great models for sure.

Start a Norse army and a PLOG right here on this forum, so I can steal/borrow ideas Smile

haha i'll make sure to get started on that, once my life calms down abit i'll be sure to get hobbying! thanks for the replies! Also I am in love with that Eirik Long Axe model but the website says he is 42mm scale does he look a little too big next to say marauders?
Erik Longaxe model is indeed a large and imposing model, but still looks damn good in a unit of Marauders - He is a bit smaller or roughly the same size as my Norse King standing in the middle of the Huscarl unit.
Great to hear!! I can't wait to get started, but the main problem i'm having is figuring out how to get a heavy infantry unit that still is the same size or bigger then regular marauders. The Nordvolk would be great but from my understanding is that they are actually rather small. Any help would be great! sorry for bugging you about this so often!
No problem at all, glad to share my experiences concerning collecting Norse models.

Nordvolk models are the same size as Marauders, if not bigger...

Good to know. Those are definately on my "to get" list.
I'm painting up a bunch of Rackham Celt Sessairs as Norse Beserkers at the moment. Either that or I'm starting up an Albion Army... Indecision.
this is great news thank you! I am definitely getting started on this army! Still I love the wild look of the marauders and the Nordvolk look maybe a little tame next to them? Regardless I am relieved that the sizes work out well. Can't wait to see how your army progresses and soon I hope to put up one of my own!

Me too!!
The thing I like about the Nordvolk compared to Marauders is that they actually look as if they could live in a snowy climate rather than being some sort of S&M types that look like they belong in mad max 2. I do like the marauder miniatures but find them a tad unrealsitic for their homeland. I think my next order will be from Westwind and I'll probably pick up half a dozen or so of those new cheap plastic reaper werewolves. A bit of chopping and changing and some extra greenstuff
should give them a bit of variety to make up some more ulfwerenar. I've also had my eye on their Yeti miniatures too.
I actually like that the Marauder miniatures look more savage than the Nordvolk, because they should look more savage as they live a pirate-like life as a Reaver and the "Noble" Huscarl are more classy (as classy a Norseman can get).

@beefcake
I would wait for the werewolves Mantic Games are releasing sometime in the near future - might be worth the wait..?
