I already posted a few questions. I collected LM ten years ago. I wanted to collect Dogs of War then as a second army.
Now I'm back in the hobby after a long hiatus. I bought more Lizardmen and play them regularly. I bought quite a few Regiments of Renown off of e-bay a few months ago.
While I am disappointed at Dogs of War not be allowed in some official gaming settings. I mainly bought them to enjoy the painting them, fielding them is secondary. I wouldn't want to paint 200 skeletons for a Vampire Counts army but I'll paint 25 Cursed Company guys. I wouldn't want to paint 100 orcs but painting Ruglud and company would be fun, etc.
I also hope to either find some open minded players to let me throw in Regiments of Renown with my Lizardmen or talk people into playing the Hired Swords special scenario in the BRB with Regiments of Renown. After all who makes better mercenaries than famed mercenary companies? Also that'll let me use Dogs of War units without worrying about my relatively scarcity of Core Dogs of War units.
