So THAT'S how Warhammer fanatics land a regular job! Those displays look truly impressive... and assuming they were done to a historical scale, that's going to be as close to a snapshot of actual history as we can get... unless all the Renaissance reenactors get together to slug out the battle of Agincourt again. It can be all sorts of fun to walk a historical battlefield, imagining the full blown charge/counter-charge, complete with a guide describing the details of the day. Well, if you're a military historical geek, it can be fun. Blush
Thanks Smile

I'll be (re)posting several more sets of pics. Stay tuned.

Hey all, another set of pics from the Plassenburg Museum. This one featurs a massive diorama - I can't recall what battle but I think it was one from the 7 Years War. There are something like 20k minis on this board - not 20k points - this isn't a game - but 20k minis.

Hey all, another batch of pics here. This time it's just a few as the next set are all from a gigantic battle diorama that puts other mega battles to shame (something like 30k minis on that). Here we have some medieval knights, a small skirmish and a coach diorama. Comments welcome!

A massive cavalry charge against a rearguard.

Hey all, here is the next set of pics. Some cavalry to start followed by some Roman Coliseum dioramas and then some pics of how they used to make the minis - no expensive molds or sprues here, just an oldfashioned workshop.

Hey all, last set of pics from the museum here and I saved the biggest battle for last. This is apparently one of the if not the biggest historical minis dioramas in the world. It is in fact quite massive easily being something like 20x20. There are literally tens of thousands of minis in this diorama. Unfortunately the lighting wasn't working on the display so the camera flash was the lighting for all of these. Still you can get a good idea of the scope of this diorama. Comments welcome!

Nice.
