Well everyone, we have the technology to rebuild the site and make it better - do you have the willpower to see Dogs of War Online bounce back stronger?

The biggest issue was the Admin section getting wiped out that crushed it.

I think we can get back to our post count levels by just getting into a rules/point discussion on a halfling.

"Those responsible"? What do you mean? Somebody hacked the forum? Or was it a moderator gone berserk?

To be honest I'm not sure, as noted on CDO I may never know what happened... It wasn't one of the staff. It may have even been an inadvertent update to MyBB.

I think M4c's constant rules/points bickering caused the site to melt down like Chernobyl.

Oh yes, it was my fault of course Well then, better start rebuilding I suppose. I will repost my army blog from the start tomorrow. But I do fear that this will rebuilding thing will be off-putting to a lot of the old members, especially those with a lot of posts and threads and other contributions to the site. Is there no way to repair the old one?

M4cR1II3n- in short no, I was trying to work through this with my ISP but no go. Unfortunately we only have one direction to go and that is forward.

I've started PMing people on other sites that should be here and my signature on the forums includes the link to here (and CDO).

Good work I'm letting the other admins know we are back up.

so my awesomeness radiated out from me and caused the forum/admin panel's theoretical eyes to burst causing a massive explosion which destroyed the site? and right after i joined too.....hmmm...

I assume the armylist files were all safely secured somewhere and they weren't wiped as well?

Hrrm... not quite I am afraid. Most of the files were on backup, but some weren't, so now those have to be rewritten. Just a minor setback though, shouldn't slow things down too much.

Nah, Slick had it all covered- should be fine.

Well not everything. The army book section is missing a few things.

But all the things M4c spent a gazillion posts arguing with himself over are at least sorted.

Maybe we can find something else for him- sit him in the corner and he can talk to himself for days
